I'm not a scientist but this excerpt from wikipedia on zero-point energy typifies the propaganda around these free energy ideas. It says:

Despite the definition, the concept of zero-point energy, and the hint of a possibility of extracting "free energy" from the vacuum, has attracted the attention of amateur inventors.

If you watch the zero-point video above you'll see what a lie that is. These are high-level physicists, not amateurs as far as I can tell.
