Despite my utter contempt for Limbaugh, it's difficult to blame anyone for advocating the use of, shall we call it, "strategic voting" when the purer function of voting is in a given case of little or no practicality. F'rinstance, McCain already has it wrapped up for the Republicans, so why not sabotage the opposition if you are so inclined ? As it happens I would be delighted at the boost in Clinton's campaign, since Obama's is so hyped up in charisma, platitudes, Black support, anti-female sentiment and that infamous bug-a-boo which always affects outcome - the landslide effect.

In an electoral system plagued by a lack of rank-order ballots, winner-take-all contests and other disproportionalities, unaccountable touchscreens, and a completely outmoded electoral college, we are all left at the mercy of do-it-yourself jerrymandering.
