“ We will be amongst the many fine people rallying against these illegal and immoral wars. ”
From the 5 Years of War.com website:
"On March 19, 2003 the United States launched an illegal and unjust war against the sovereign nation of Iraq. This war has killed more than 1,000,000 Iraqi men, women, and children by some estimates, and has displaced more than 4,000,000. Almost 4,000 American soldiers have lost their lives, and at minimum 29,000 have been injured in an occupation that has lasted longer than World War II, and could end up bankrupting the United States with an estimated cost of over $2 trillion."
"Around 70% of Americans agree we must end this war, yet most of our elected officials are turning a blind eye to the wishes of the American majority and the plight of all Iraqis. It is our duty as citizens of the United States to demand an end to the war and occupation of Iraq."
"Join vets, military families, clergy, groups and individual citizens from greater Tampa Bay as we rally in the streets/speak with government officials and media in solidarity with citizens across the country and around the globe on this tragic 5th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq."
This will be a great opportunity to interact with other good people who share similar concerns about the direction of our country and the world. Hopefully we can also explain to others why demanding 9/11 Truth is a powerful antiwar strategy.
Please note there are two rallies taking place:
11:00am to 1:00pm, rally outside Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite's office, Hernando County Courthouse, 20 North Main Street, Brooksville, FL
4:00pm-6:00pm, rally outside Senator Bill Nelson's office, Federal Courthouse, 801 N Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL
I'm posting both of them to the calendar. Be sure to RSVP for the right one or both if you can make it to both rallies.
