About The Vancouver 9/11 Truth Meetup

This is a meetup group representing the Vancouver 9/11 Truth Society.

The Vancouver 9/11 Truth movement has been around for some time. In the Spring of 2006 a small number of pioneers began meeting regularly to exchange ideas and pool energies to make others aware of the many unanswered questions about September 11th, 2001. They tirelessly distributed home-copied DVDs on street corners and at public events. They helped to arrange a public lecture by one of Canada?s foremost 9/11 truth activists Barrie Zwicker, on August 30th (see video and website). They held a demonstration on busy Robson Street on the fifth anniversary of 9/11. In November 2006, the group helped to provide a 'not so warm reception' for Rudy Giuliani at a speaking engagement, handing out leaflets that questioned the validity of his 'hero' status as well as his actions his actions in regard to 9/11. Through these and other activities, the core group gradually attracted others and, by year?s end, the group evolved into a remarkably diverse collection of individuals, with a shared commitment to restoring truth, justice and peace in our world.

Our members are women and men, ages 18 to 80ish. We are from all (well, many) walks of life and diverse educational and socio-economic backgrounds. We also have roots in a variety of cultures, faiths (including atheists!) and experiences. We are active participants in the anti-war movement, but with a twist: We include in our definition of "war" deceitful acts of terror, referred to as ?black operations? or ?false-flag terrorism.? While not always unanimous in our views as to what exactly happened on 9/11, we share the view, along with a growing number of Americans (Poll: 84%) and people of other nations, that the 'official story' given by US, Canadian and other governments, the mainstream media and the '9/11 Commission Report' is simply implausible. In other words, we are of one mind about one thing: Much of what led up to that fateful day, and many of the facts surrounding the 'terrorist events' on 9/11 have been covered up by those whose duty it was to investigate on behalf of, and report to, we the people.

In late 2006, group members voted to form a ?society? under the British Columbia Societies Act in a gesture to publicly ?register? our demand and commitment to honour the victims of 9/11, and their families, with the truth. The following document, our Constitution, provides the name, the reasons and the purposes that unite us.
