To fully understand this Meetup group, it would very helpful to view Zeitgeist, the Movie, a 2007 web film, produced by Peter Joseph, that presents a number of conspiracy theories related to Christianity, the attacks of 9-11, and the Federal Reserve Bank.
Christianity
The members of this group are not only atheistic (without belief in deity), but they are also anti-theistic (opposed to belief in deity). The group emphasizes Christianity because it is the dominant religion of our place and time.
The Attacks on 9-11
At the very least members of this group are concerned with the government's mishandling of information that may have prevented the attacks, the mishandling of the response to the attacks, the losses of liberty and the war in the Middle-East that have been justified by the 9/11 attacks, and the potential for future misadventures by government leaders that may be justified by future acts of terrorism. Many group members believe that our government may have played an active role in the attacks on 9/11 and that a conspiracy exists to misinform all of us regarding the details of the attacks.
The Federal Reserve Bank
Members of the group are agreed that with the exception of Christianity, no institution does more to enslave the population of our place and time than the Federal Reserve Bank.
